TOP 10 QUICK SERVICE RESTAURANTS AT DISNEY WORLD

Another Top 10 list?  Yup.  I know…there are top 10 lists all over the place when it comes to Disney food.  I feel out of place if I don’t follow the trend.  LOL

I’ve had ALOT of quick service restaurants at Disney World.  And I definitely have my opinions on them, too.  😉  In fact, I think I have more quick service that I DON’T like than I do.  But, for the sake of keeping it to the top 10, and positive, that’s all I’ll discuss.  And, of course, I’ve included my Top 10 “Can’t Wait to Try It” list, too. 😉

TOP 10 QUICK SERVICE RESTAURANTS AT DISNEY WORLD

10.  SWEET TOMATOES

Ok, I know this isn’t a Disney-property place to eat, but I listed ALL the places I’ve been at Disney, and couldn’t come up with a 10th that was good enough to include on my top 10 list. LOL!  I am pretty picky… Anyways, our family ALWAYS goes to Sweet Tomatoes for a meal while at Disney. It’s just across the street from the entrance to Disney World by Downtown Disney, and is so wonderful. It’s the largest salad bar ever, with every topping imaginable, followed by a pasta bar, a soup bar, a bakery, and a dessert bar.  The cool thing about this place is that they go by monthly “themes” so they never have the same soups or pastas or baked items or desserts out each time we go!  I personally really love soups and salads (and sandwiches) and my family, as picky as they are, all agree…Sweet Tomatoes is a MUST DO.

9. SUNSHINE SEASONS at EPCOT

It was nice to have so many options here, but almost too overwhelming with 5 of us all wanting something different. I feel the same way in the food courts at the hotels, though. 😉

8. COSMIC RAYS at Magic Kingdom

This was a place we stumbled on accidentally for their bathrooms, but were pleasantly surprised at the amount of choices here, too.  We went during a non-peak time (after 7 pm) so there was NO wait at any of the registers!

7. EATING “AROUND THE WORLD” at EPCOT

Part of the joy of the World Showcase and the culture at EPCOT is all of the food.  This was the way we got our “picky” kids to try new foods…and like them!  It’s now a tradition…we stop at EVERY quick service place at each country and try something new to share.  It’s been so much fun!

6. BACKLOT EXPRESS at Hollywood Studios

I see it all the time…the food at Hollywood Studios is nothing to be desired, and there are NO quick service places that are good. Well, I beg to differ.  Backlot Express is a little gem hidden behind Star Tours and Indiana Jones, and we enjoy the food there just fine!  It’s SO much better than the other 2 places we have tried (ABC Commissionary and Fairfax Fare).

5. EARL OF SANDWICH at Downtown Disney

I was told this was a good place, and inexpensive for your non-Disney Dining Plan meals. I was told correctly.  YUMMO! Wonderful sandwiches on very tasty bread with a British feel and very much worth waiting in line for!

4. PECOS BILLS TALL TALE TAVERN at Magic Kingdom

It’s alot like Backlot Express, actually.  But better!  They have a bar of condiments you can add to your burger, and the burgers are fantastic! We have eaten here MULTIPLE times now.

3. FLAME TREE BBQ at Animal Kingdom

We love barbeque. We love being outside. We love views. Flame Tree has it all.  We ate at the END of the path behind the restaurant and had the most amazing view EVER.  Highly recommend.

2. TORTUGA TAVERN at Magic Kingdom

I love Mexican food even more than barbeque. Like, 100 times better. I think I’m part Hispanic…though I’m really not…lol  I’m told Tortuga Tavern is only open occasionally, so we have been pretty lucky because it’s been open every time we go!  Yay!  (BTW…we have tried La Cantina quick service at Epcot and were sorely disappointed…)

1. WOLFGANG PUCK EXPRESS at Downtown Disney

This one “won” because it feels like you are eating at an upscale restaurant, but for a quick-service price.  It’s fabulous…absolutely fabulous.

TOP 10 “I CAN’T WAIT TO TRY IT” QUICK SERVICE RESTAURANTS AT DISNEY WORLD

This list is a little harder…if you have other recommendations, let me know!

10.  TAMU TAMU

My bestest friend from jr high/high school used to work at Animal Kingdom, and told me that Tamu Tamu is the best.  So…I have to try it, right?!  🙂

9. COLUMBIA HARBOR HOUSE at Magic Kingdom

I’m not a big fan of fish, but I’m told this is a great QS option, so I would like to give it a whirl!

8. YAK N YETI at Animal Kingdom

Love me some Asian food…but the kids, not so much.  I may have to get this for my daughter and I while the others try Restaurantosaurus…

7. ROSIE’S ALL AMERICAN CAFE’ at Hollywood Studios

This is one I NEVER hear about…but when I do, it’s usually pretty positive.  I decided to give it a try this fall.

6. PINOCCHIO VILLAGE HAUS at Magic Kingdom

Another one that I’ve not been too excited to try, but I hear it’s good…and it has upstairs dining AND a special book you can sign!

5. STUDIO BACKLOT EXPRESS at Hollywood Studios

I picture this as a “healthier” option at Hollywood Studios, so I’d like to try it, too.

4. RESTAURANTOSAURUS at Animal Kingdom

I’ve heard the theming is great, and that it’s a great place for the kids.  I want to try it out because we really didn’t like Pizzafari and haven’t tried Yak N Yeti or Tamu Tamu yet…

3. COOKES OF DUBLIN at Downtown Disney

It’s supposedly as good as Raglan Road, so I am really really really wanting to try this place out!

2. STARRING ROLLS at Hollywood Studios

I’ve had their cupcake…wow…and hear they have sandwich options for lunch that are good!

1. BE OUR GUEST at Magic Kingdom

Again…it’s the experience. I’ve got to try the Grey Stuff…an old teapot told me that it’s delicious…

Any on the list that surprise you?  Any that you think should be added?  Want to know my list of places I don’t like?  🙂  Let me know in the comments!
